Naked Triples

Points. A naked triple is formed by any 3 cells that have candidates for only 3 digits in the same house. A naked triple is a naked subset of 3.  Naked Triples can have some digits locked in more than one house, i.e., locked in a row-boxpair  or in a column-box pair. What Sudopedia Says.

Naked Triple, Row. In row 5, the three cells in columns 1, 6, 8 contain only three digits, 4, 6, and 9. Therefore, digits 4, 6, and 9 cannot be present elsewhere in the row and the red candidates can be removed.

Naked Triple, Column. In column 4, the three cells in rows 1, 2, and 8 contain only three digits, 3, 4, and 8. Therefore, digits 3, 4 and 9 cannot be present elsewhere in the column and the red candidate 9 can be removed.

Naked Triple, Box. In box 2, the three cells marked blue contain only the three digits, 5, 6, and 8. Therefore, these three digits 5, 6, and 8 cannot be present elsewhere in the box. Note that the digit 5 is also locked in row 1. Thus all the red candidates for 5, 6, and 8 can be removed.
